How long does it take to get my real estate license?
The time required to complete the course varies among agents. Some finish in as little as 60 days, while others may take up to six months to pass the PSI Exam from the start of the course. We recommend progressing through the course and the entire process as quickly as possible. Since you will be tested on the material covered on the first day, it’s helpful to retain that information while it is still fresh in your mind.
What is the PSI Exam?
After you pass your Pre-Licensing Final you will need to sit for your PSI Exam. The PSI Exam is composed of a variety of multiple-choice questions about real estate law and the ethics and professional responsibilities of the real estate industry. You must pass the Kentucky Exam and the National Exam.
How much does it cost?
To become a licensed sales associate in Kentucky, you should budget between $500 and $1,000 for initial startup costs. Your first step is the 96-hour Pre-Licensing Course, which we can help you with through our Kaplan/KSCORE Scholarship. For just a $99 application fee, we cover the cost of your full tuition, which is normally $399. Simply contact us today to apply and secure this tuition-free opportunity. After completing your education, your remaining costs include a $100 exam fee to PSI per attempt, an $18–$52 criminal background check, and a $130 state application fee. Additionally, we aim to keep your overhead predictable: we now provide Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance for our agents as part of their monthly fee, eliminating the typical annual out-of-pocket expense of $110–$150.

E&O stands for Errors & Omissions. The state of Kentucky requires all agents carry E&O Insurance.
